Alexey Mozgovoi: I Will Continue to the End!

Novorossiya shall be! Oligarchs out! Power to the real, common people! This is our [first] chance in many decades to build an equitable, human and humane society.

WITH RESPECT TO STRELKOV HAVING BEEN BETRAYED AND BETRAYAL IN GENERAL.

There are so many who did not like what was begun and do not want to push it to its logical conclusion!

They only have money, offices and portfolios in their heads! But why did the people of the South-East rise up??? Was it just so that they could lose countless lives, lose their livelihoods, lose their confidence in the future?

If we are fighting for the interests of the people, is it not up to the people themselves to decide the outcome of this struggle? See it through completely…

Who among these so-called members of the governments of the DPR and the LPR bothered to ask the opinion of the Militiamen, who lose their comrades in battles; the opinion of the relatives, who lost fathers, sons and daughters in this struggle for the right to live free and to choose their own path? I believe none of them did. All this seems to be a farce; a spectacle, in which the role of the people of Novorossiya is to be extras on the set.

There have now been several stages of this betrayal of Novorossiya (including the ‘resignation’ of Igor Ivanovich Strelkov). In my opinion, right now, we are witnessing another attempt, by means of negotiations, to stop the resistance and to prevent the destruction of the oligarchic power in Ukraine. The fifth column in action… The transfer of power from the oligarchy to the people—right now this is the so-called international community’s nightmare. It became clear to everyone long ago that the world is ruled by the likes of Valtsman [Poroshenko], Chubais and the Rockefellers. For these, removal from power is akin to death.

And what do we see now? ARRANGEMENTS! And with whom? At the negotiating table: the venerable Kuchma! During his reign, the fat cats only gained momentum and swelled their appetites! Corruption soared to inexplicable heights. He should be prosecuted, not negotiated with! What will happen to the special status of Novorossiya, when all the same contract killers will remain? What guarantees can be discussed with people that have eliminated the word TRUTH from their vocabulary?

Only Kiev’s capitulation can resolve the current situation. Only a separation of business interests from government can offer the chance to build a state with a human face. And only the prosecution of those who hold power, of the world “elite” can enable the people to regain their dignity. Otherwise it was all for naught—all the slogans and all the victims.

Do we want to remain as marionettes in the hands of the armchair intellectuals? I am not satisfied with such a prospect! We did not take up arms just to stop halfway.

There always was and always will be fear. Right now, many are afraid of the coming winter. But this is animal fear. I am much more afraid of staying as a serf—of remaining an animal in the hands of the glossy feudal lords.

I will continue to the end! Until we reach the intended target! Until the full and unconditional victory of the free and proud Russian Slavic World!!!

Open letter to Alexei Mozgovoi from an American activist

Dear Alexey,

I deeply resonate with what you're saying. If yours is indeed the position of Novorussia's fighters and activists, largely shared by the people, if indeed you stand united behind it, then I will be cheering you on and speaking out in your defense. If you stumble and make mistakes, even terrible ones, I will be sharing your pain and rooting for you to survive, pick yourselves up and get back into the struggle.

However I am writing as an American activist, about patience and responsibility. Revolutionary patience, and revolutionary responsibility.

A revolutionary outlook transforms the color of everything. There is revolutionary anger and revolutionary love, revolutionary principles and revolutionary clarity. There is another vital distinction which those newly caught up in a revolutionary process may not yet know, understand or even see the need for: revolutionary patience.

Revolutionary patience. It has to do with knowing and living in the love of the people, believing in the power of an organized people, knowing that growth and change take time and organization takes work, knowing that processes unfold organically, and trusting that the arrow of history is on our side. Trusting that things are changing beneath a seemingly calm surface and when enough pieces are in place they will burst forth. Being ready to strike hard when the moment is right, but hold back and wait when it's not. The patience to refuse a gambit, and the humility to play for the team, not to be the star.

Please allow me to share some thoughts on the outcomes of two revolutionary situations from my childhood - Korea and Vietnam - that played out very differently for the countries involved and had very different consequences for the world as well. And the part that revolutionary patience and responsibility - or lack thereof - played in those dramas.

The situation in Ukraine reminds me of Korea in 1950. A people's government, with roots in the struggle for independence from Japan and protected from the US occupation by the Soviet Red Army, faced off against a brutal puppet government made up of former Japanese collaborators, rich landowners and industrialists and American-trained thugs, propped up by American arms and advisors. A government that ruled by intimidation and death squads, not unlike the one you face in Kiev, at a time of huge flux in world affairs.

On paper South Korea (ROK) had an overwhelming military advantage over the Democratic People's Republic (DPRK), and they threatened loudly and often to reunite Korea by the sword. The leaders of the DPRK well understood that the ROK's conscript army had no will to fight, but a small US force in Korea served as a tripwire, which made it the Soviet Union's business too.

The record shows that Stalin tried hard to talk Kim Il Sung, the DPRK leader and hero of the resistance to Japan, out of a military solution, despite each day's provocations, each day's bitter harvest of murdered leaders and activists in the South. Kim is reported to have requested Stalin's go-ahead some thirty times, with increasing urgency, before the Soviet leadership gave in, or perhaps just resigned themselves to being unable to stop him.

As predicted, the ROK army crumpled and fled in panic before the DPRK troops, who drove the remnants and the American force before them the length of the peninsula and almost into the sea. It was a complete rout - and a complete surprise to the Americans.

The larger result was a historic disaster for Korea. A full scale American invasion and massive bombing campaign utterly leveled North Korea and killed a huge proportion of its population. The DPRK armed forces were nearly wiped out and the DPRK only survived because the Chinese Red Army was provoked into intervening. The seemingly-doomed ROK was restored and lives on to this day under American occupation. 60 years later the DPRK remains under active threat of renewed war and destruction, impoverished by the costs of perpetual mobilization for war.

Geopolitically also, the war was an historic disaster, providing the pretext and narrative for the Cold War, for destroying the anti-imperialist and communist-led workers movements in the US and gravely weakening them in many other countries, for founding NATO, isolating the Socialist Bloc countries and setting in motion preparations for an assault on Russia and China using nuclear weapons - a war that the record shows very nearly happened.

If the leadership of the DPRK had trusted Stalin's advice, and - bitter and horrifying as the cost might be - patiently supported the struggle of their countrymen in the South without trying to finish it with a military blow, the Cold War might have been much harder to launch and the Korean people might have been spared the much worse nightmare that ensued.

By contrast, the much more patient strategy of North Vietnam, while unable to prevent a war in the South that saw several hundred thousand activists, leaders and former resistance fighters murdered, followed by a devastating American War that killed millions, was able to avert the kind of total destruction visited on North Korea - and "in the fullness of time" they won! Vietnam is one country now, and at peace. But the victory of the people's forces and liberation struggle in Vietnam was also a world-historic win over the Empire, one whose consequences helped shape what is possible today, nearly 40 years later.

This afternoon, I came upon a man, old before his time, begging for money on an American street corner. He told of being unable to live on his disability pension, and of being denied his veterans benefits because while serving in Vietnam he had been dishonorably discharged. When I asked him what for, he said it was because he tried to shoot his officer, a gung-ho young lieutenant who had gotten two of his buddies killed. He seemed still ashamed or regretful, 40 years later, about having missed.

Troops killing their officers, in the heat of battle or by a platoon agreeing on tossing a fragmentation grenade into their tent (known as "fragging"), was a huge and widespread problem for the US Army in Vietnam. Troops were often incapacitated or uncontrollable due to massive drug use. Refusal to obey orders to attack grew increasingly common. Huge numbers of servicemen's riots and demonstrations took place inside Vietnam and "Stateside".

The more patient Vietnamese strategy, though it took over 20 years to final victory, thus dealt a global strategic defeat to the US-led Empire. To this day our Masters of War don't dare try to raise and field another conscript army, and can only field such armed forces as they can afford to pay cash money for. Which is why, unless they can persuade the American people that their homes are in mortal danger from Russia and ISIS, the collapse of the dollar will be the Empire's death blow.

Coming back to the present, consider the need for Putin's Russia to win in it's challenge to the Empire, the race to collapse the Empire through building a global "de-dollarization alliance" before the Empire can gather the strength to launch a world war. A strategy which leans heavily on the battle of ideas and counts on the support and strivings of billions of people across the world, but also on exploiting and harnessing divisions and conflicts between and within ruling classes. If you see yourself as part of and responsible for the success of that global strategy, this poses a painful choice between taking your opportunities or declining them. As I'm certain it did for Putin in March and April. Decisions and actions taken over the next few weeks, months and years will profoundly shape the range of possible outcomes for the planet, and Ukraine is at the epicenter. There is a huge opportunities in the power vacuum, as the Junta's forces collapse, for the millions who long to break the hold of the kleptocrats and banksters and unleash a deeply necessary revolution, but of course the Ukraine struggle is, by design, also a potential flashpoint of global disaster.

There is no strong analogy with events and moments in the past that could dictate the right moves for today. But revolutionary patience is a way of being, not a strategy. It is what lets us refuse gambits and protects us from being ruled by our egos. It gives us freedom to be responsible for the larger consequences of what we do.

Trusting the people of Ukraine, continuing to organize and teach at what ever cost and risk, waiting for the time when the unity and force of millions can overwhelm any intervention, may get a better result for Ukraine, Russia and the world. Or maybe the time is now. Revolutionary patience gives us the freedom to look at that question objectively, balancing the promise of grasping "a revolutionary reconstitution of society at large," against the danger of "the common ruin of the contending classes."

Please forgive my arrogance in addressing you like this. I write from my heart, from my own very different experiences and without expectations.

Yours in struggle,

C

Igor Strelkov: I will definitely continue to fight for my Homeland in one format or another.

From the English version of the Colonel Cassad blog.

The following was posted by Igor Strelkov on a Russian social forum

Comrades and the accompanying ladies!

Snake [n.b. a nickname of a forum admin?] talked me into logging into the forum and telling at least a few words about what is happening. Due to a number of circumstances I won't comment in any way on the events that occur in Novorossia. I will only note that I am, to put it mildly, "not jubilant".

As for the rest:

1. Everything that is related to my resignation and departure and the subsequent silence was a necessary consequence of a number of circumstances, which I am not going to explain in this format. Perhaps, somewhat later.

2. I wasn't in Yalta and I wasn't going to be there. Under the cover of my name a PR-sabbath was organized there by the paid friends of a "fur animal" [n.b. this is a transparent hint at Surkov, which sounds similar to "сурок" in Russian, which translates into "marmot"] which must not confused with fox [n.b. absolutely untranslatable play of words.. another furred animal "песец" that's also used as an expletive in Russian meaning, the end result is making the already transparent hint at Surkov even less transparent plus bringing an element of a thinly veiled insult directed at Mr. Surkov into the whole sentence]. The fact that Mozgovoi and Druz were there is a consequence of this hoax and nothing else. Also, I don't know anything about the rally on September 13th, where I am apparently supposed to show up.

3. Anatoly El-Murid [n.b. the famous Russian blogger
el_murid, who is an acquaintance of Strelkov] writes whatever he thinks is necessary, but he is in touch with me. Verbal attacks on him in my view are indirect evidence of the attackers affiliation with the "birds from Surkov's nest" with corresponding conclusions with respect to them ("there is such a profession – to love one's Motherland for money!").

4. I read the "Questions to Strelkov". I won't reply right now. Later.

5. I don't remove the responsibility for the situation in Donetsk from myself. I am well-informed about what is currently happening there. But right now I cannot influence it in any way, unfortunately. For now.

6. I will definitely continue to fight for my Homeland in one format or another. Let my numerous "well-wishers" (in Russia and Novorossia and also in the Ruin) have no illusions in this respect. While I'm alive they won't sleep well. Also I'm sending a "message" to someone in Donetsk, as it is often said these days "I'm angry and my memory is good". :) This especially concerns one elderly fan of good cigars and whiskey, who was successfully pretending to be "an officer and a patriot" for more than 20 years. He will understand. Respect and honour is no longer about him. As for various scum among the locals, no mater who is on whose leash, I also suggest them not to forget that I'm still alive and capable of acting.

7. Yulia Latynina and Co. (n.b. this presumably refers to the liberal crowd at the radio station
"Echo of Moscow") shouldn't expect me in their company. I never had and will never have anything in common with them. "They are in need of great upheavals..." (n.b. a reference to the famous quote by Pyotr Stolypin: "You, gentlemen, are in need of great upheavals; we are in need of Great Russia.").

8. By the end of September a second book of my fairy tales should come out, which was launched into publication already before departing into Crimea.

Respectfully, Strelok

The Zionist-Anglo-Saxon caliphate vs the BRICS
by Peter Koenig

Ever since the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) expressed their unison through the formation of a joint Development Bank - Durban, South Africa on 27 March 2013 – the Zionist-Anglo-Saxon caliphate attempted to divide them. The BRICS constitute some 45% of the world population and close to 30% of global GDP. The BRICS idea is to issue a joint alternative currency, fully detached from the US dollar and its greed economy.

In the meantime a number of other countries would like to join the BRICS, including Argentina, Venezuela, Iran, Mongolia, Malaysia and others, which would result in about one third of the world’s economic output and half of the global inhabitants.

This gives the BRICS a profile of strength surpassing that of the United States and Europe together. China alone is not only already the world’s largest economy, China is also dominating the Asian market of some 4.2 billion people, 60% of the world populations and a combined GDP of about US$ 20 trillion, equivalent to about US$ 25 trillion, when comparing purchasing power with the dollar based US economy of about US$ 17 trillion. Asia registered an average growth rate of almost 8% over the past few years, compared to that of the western world, hovering around 1%.

There is no need for the BRICS to fear US interference – divide to rein – if they are able to solidify their union with solidarity – political and monetary solidarity, as well as common trade policies – and if they have the political will to decouple their economies from the dollar – which is key for the BRICS success.

Sir Obama – here also called the western caliphate - has multiple self-assumed capacities. He creates new caliphates at his service, like the ISIS, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Syria); then he bombs them making the world believe they are enemies, condones their beheading of western journalists and clandestinely funds their Middle East crusade for energy and world dominance, a crusade the ISIS are carrying out for the supreme caliphate in the White House.

Washington’s caliphate also has a small army of ‘martyr nations’ fighting (and suffering) for him, like the 28 members of the European Union, led (sic) by a like-minded group of Washington-submissive neoliberal Zionist- Christian puppets. They do what Washington says. Most of them are also pro-forma members of the White House caliphate-driven worldwide war machine, called NATO, and ape the war cries of (the) Fogh (of war) Rasmussen, who is Obama’s master puppet in Europe.

Of course, the caliphate is always ready with sanctions for those who don’t behave, especially sanctions which backfire on others. The latest sanctions on Russia follow a series of billion dollar propaganda of lies and outright falsehoods, demonizing Vladimir Putin and Russia. Interestingly the ‘sanctions’ imposed on Russia by Washington’s supreme warrior – and submissively carried out by his European minions, have been retaliated by Russia by blocking most of agro-trading with Europe, leaving European farmers with rotting vegetables and fruit – billion dollar losses, estimated at a multiple of the ‘sanctions’ costs to Russia.

Neoliberals are short-sighted. They are overwhelmed by greed, instant gratification, and a dream of Full Spectrum Dominance, meaning controlling the world’s resources, money and people. But their caliphate empire is doomed, since lies and deceptions work some of the time with some of the people, but not all the time with all of the people. In fact, the tide is shifting – which is the silver lining of the dark cloud shed by the monstrous, murderous western war machine. The larger of the European minions, Germany and France, and some of the newer ones, Poland, Hungary the Czech Republic, to name but a few, become doubting and hesitating on the way of sanctions. They start feeling the hurt.

The Zionist Anglo-Saxon caliphate needs conflicts and wars in order to survive. Its economy is based on producing weapons and on destruction. World peace would make it collapse.

To attain their objective, the western caliphate is using a thousands-of-year-old wisdom – dividing to rein. By a multi-billion dollar driven worldwide propaganda and lie campaign, Obama and his European bootlickers first confuse the people of nations and continents, distort their common sense, then they drive a wedge between them, between allies, neighbors, common cultures, families – turning friends into foes.

Remember, the dollar is fiat money, not worth the paper it’s printed on. It is produced at will and is called Quantitative Easing (QE), a conveniently confusing euphemism for creating debt held as monetary reserves by nations’ treasuries around the globe.

The same happens with funding of the eternal war machine. Printing money at will has become a pastime justifying wars, mass killings for conquering the world’s resources and people. It will last as long as the rest of the world permits it. It’s already a fading phenomenon. Ten to fifteen years ago close to 90% of the world’s reserves were denominated in US dollars. Today that figure has shrunk to about 60%.

Dividing to rein is precisely what the western caliphate intends to do with the BRICS. Starting with Brazil, Washington attempts through an ugly smear campaign to slander Brazil’s leader, Dilma Rousseff and to defame Brazil’s economy. The former is accused of corruption and nepotism and Brazil’s economy is admonished for runaway private debt that supposedly stands at 80% of GDP. However, the smear-campaigners do not explain that thanks to the increase in private debt Brazil’s GDP has grown by 30% in the last decade. They don’t explain either that Brazil’s foreign debt to GDP ratio stands at less than 57%, compared with that of the US of almost 101.5% and of Germany’s, 82%.

In short, Brazil is doing well. But the presstitute media propaganda masters have managed to lower President Rousseff’s popularity to the point where her re-election in the forthcoming ballot is questionable. Precisely what the Washington caliphate wants.

Imagine an economy-based real contest between the western caliphate and the BRICS. With a GDP of about 30% of the world’s economic output, covering almost 50% of the globe’s population, the BRICS have an average debt to GDP ratio of less than 45 % (2014 estimates) – Brazil (56.8%), Russia (13.4%) India (67.7%), China (22.4%), South Africa (46.1%) – compared to that of the US (101.5%) and of the Eurozone (92.6%).

It is clear that the BRICS have nothing to fear from the western caliphate – and its possible slew of sanctions. However – and this is key – the western Zionist-Anglo-Saxon empire controls the current western monetary system. The FED, Wall Street, the European Central Bank (ECB) and the IMF, an extension of the US Treasury and the FED, as well as the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), the central bank of central banks, the privately owned chief manipulator of gold and currencies – hold the western economies hostage. They finance the US /NATO war machine. The western Zionist-Anglo-Saxon controlled financial system has the same objective of Full Spectrum Dominance, as does the supreme caliphate and assassin-in-chief, Obama, who currently serves the western arms manufacturing and banking oligarchy.

It is therefore high time that the BRICS proceed to reality with their intended alternative currency, completely detached from the dollar and the Wall Street clearing system. The economic viability of such an alternative system stands about 2 to 3 times higher than that of the UD dollar.

An interim measure to stop the western bulldozer may be necessary. Russia and China and a number of other countries have already agreed to trade in their respective currencies and, in particular, to trade hydrocarbons in non-dollar denominated moneys, a measure that will considerably lower demand for the dollar, hence, further lower the dollars viability as a reserve currency. Russia and China are poised to issue a common currency, a basket of currencies that may be joined by other countries willing to detach themselves from the fangs of the western abusive monetary caliphate.

On 3 and 4 September, NATO, the military arm of the western caliphate met in Wales, UK – to discuss its raison d’être. By NATO’s own admission, this was the most important meeting since the collapse of the Soviet Union, attended by 60 heads of state, including the 28 NATO members. As expected the focus of the meeting was to demonize Russia, a key member of the BRICS, with lies and slanders that know hardly any competition in the world of deception. The final briefing report is so full of nonsense and unproven accusations – similar to those continuously aped by Fogh Rasmussen – that Russia doesn’t even need to counter them. The NATO declarations drown in their own lies and deceptions.

It is clear, after 65 years of existence and chaotic disasters all over the world, NATO needs a new identity, a new Cold War, or, better even, a new direct war with Russia – for ‘the security’ of Europe. Therefore, the caliphate Obama, in hopefully one of his last unabashed moves, is requesting that Europe ups its ante – that the European members contribute at least 2% of their GDP to NATO – and let the military industrial complex move more weapons into the European NATO bases. In other words, making Europe more vulnerable to Russian defense attacks, putting the peoples of Europe once again in the firing line. The European leaders (sic) seem to be oblivious to such dangers.

However, there is hope. As said by Pepe Escobar, “The real deal this September is not NATO. It's the SCO's summit. Expect the proverbial tectonic shifts of geopolitical plaques in the upcoming meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization - a shift as far-reaching as when the Ottoman Empire failed at the gates of Vienna in 1683. On the initiative of Russia and China, at the SCO summit, India, Pakistan, Iran and Mongolia will be invited to become permanent members.” http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article39599.htm

The SCO summit could be the first step towards a new world order – not the notorious “One World Order” proclaimed by the empire of the Zionist-Anglo-Saxon caliphate – but a new direction of the world, away from an usurious, abusive financial and monetary system, away from Washington’s objective of Full Spectrum Dominance – towards a new world of sovereign states.

The Last King of Scotland: Splitting the ‘Anglo’ in ‘Anglo-Zionist

by American Kulak

This is my first contribution as a guest to the Saker’s blog and hopefully will not be the last. It is submitted in the spirit of the Saker’s admonition ‘if you want to do something [constructive to this online global community], just do it!’

My topic today is the Anglo-American or Western media’s increasing unease if not outright opposition to the looming independence vote in Scotland, where credible polling shows the momentum is clearly increasing behind a ‘YES’ vote for secession. A ‘NO’ vote in this case would mean the continuation of the United Kingdom and the union between Scotland, England and Wales passed by the English parliament in 1706 and ratified by the Scottish parliament of 1707.

Although many in the ‘Better Together’ campaign against Scottish secession have insisted in recent days that Scotland can receive more autonomy and control over its local tax revenues while still retaining the economic and military benefits of staying in the UK (this will sound familiar to those Saker readers who are reading Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko’s boasting that Novorossiya will remain in Ukraine and his government will not cede on square meter of 1922 Bolshevik ‘gifted’ ‘Ukrainian land’), it appears that hope is weak sauce. Fear of economic disruption or of long term subversion of the (Atlanticist, read what Saker calls ‘Anglo-Zionist’) European project is already being ramped up as the pro-unity forces in London and Brussels become more desperate.

On the one hand, Scotland’s push to secede has very little to do with the war in Ukraine and for Novorossiya. On the other hand they seem to have every bit to do with it because Catalan, Basque, northern Italian, and even Novorossiyan independence supporters are all backing Scottish independence on social media like Facebook and Twitter. The lone exception I’ve identified thus far being Graham W. Phillips, the British reporter who was expelled from Ukraine after being held hostage by the Kiev regime who slipped back across the border into Lugansk. Mr. Phillips identifies himself both as a supporter of Novorossiya and a Scotland-born British patriot, seeing no contradiction between the two. Graham remains opposed to Scottish secession and has expressed his opposition on his Twitter feed.

In spiritual and symbolic terms, there is indeed a connection between Novorossiya’s flag and that of Scotland -- the ancient cross of St. Andrew which is called the saltire or Scottish flag, a white X cross on dark blue. This flag also makes up Scotland’s contribution to ‘the Union Jack’ which mixes Scottish blue with the red of England’s St. George’s cross. St. Andrew the Apostle according to ancient Christian tradition dating to the undivided, pre-1054 Schism Church stretching from Ireland’s County Kerry in the West to Kiev in the East and Ethiopia and India to the South preached the Gospel from Spain all the way to the Greek-colonized Scythian lands that later converted to Orthodox Christianity under the Rus Prince Vladimir near what is today Kherson in Ukraine. The Holy Apostle Andrew according to tradition was martyred in Achaia (modern day Greece) on an X-shaped cross, because like St. Peter who died in Rome on an upside down Cross Andrew did not consider himself worthy to be crucified in the same manner as the Lord Jesus Christ. The X also corresponds to the Latin numeral for ten which in Biblical numerology derived from the ancient Hebrews represents the Ten Commandments God gave the ancient Israelites on Mount Sinai, symbolizing God’s Holy Law.

Today the St. Andrew’s cross is visible in the red and blue battle flag of Novorossiya seen on the shoulder patches of the Donbas soldiers, and on the naval ensign of the Russian Federation which flies over Sevastopol. This symbolism has not been lost on the Empire’s more clever shills. Indeed, when Novorossiya first debuted its flag two months ago paying tribute to both St. Andrew and the Anglo-Scottish industrialists who founded Donetsk as a coal-mining center in the 18th century Russian Empire, there was a great deal of snark on Twitter about it resembling the battle flag of the Confederate States of America (CSA). The snarkists, of course, having no idea about the St. Andrew’s heraldry preceding the CSA by centuries and inspiring the Scots-Irish settlers of the American South who chose it as their battle flag and whose war-like settler/soldier traditions were highlighted in former US Secretary of the Navy Jim Webb’s folk history, Born Fighting.

While there are many Saker readers who maintain that absolutely no geopolitical shifts can take place without a full consensus among the globalist Western elites that Saker refers to collectively as the ‘Anglo-Zionist’ empire and whose confabs at Bilderberg, Davos, and the recent NATO summit in Wales are well documented, the increasingly shrill propaganda directed against Scottish independence suggests otherwise. The BBC in particular has led the charge against a ‘YES’ vote, calling into question its phoney pretense to objectivity and highlighting ‘Auntys’ total subservience to the British Deep State. But the BBC and other British media have to be careful not to excessively offend their Scottish audiences. Meanwhile, American and Atlanticist ‘think tank’ agitprop against the Scots has often been crude and pathetic.

The online magazine Business Insider (which the Washington-based independent investigative journalist Wayne Madsen has linked to a smear campaign run against Madsen in mid-2013 by an ex-National Security Agency officer named John R. Schindler) recently ran an article claiming the departure of British nuclear ballistic missile and attack submarines from their base at Faslane, Scotland could leave the peninsula open to a Russian invasion. The article was widely panned in BI’s comments section as ridiculous propaganda.

The former London-based Henry Jackson Society neoconservative front man Michael D. Weiss, who now runs the pro-Kiev propaganda site The Interpreter Mag, tweeted “if Scotland secedes, then Europe can expect to see a foreign-policy Venezuela created overnight on the North Sea. Putin will rejoice.” [

Not surprisingly considering their overlap on issues of anti-Russian foreign policy, NSA surveillance, and other matters, Weiss tweets a link to a more Business Insider article warning that Scotland will have to win ‘four bets’ to avoid being doomed to poverty as an independent state. [
https://twitter.com/michaeldweiss/status/508961378678214656]

The World Affairs Journal, the bimonthly publication of the ‘former’ Central Intelligence Agency operative run quasi-NGO Freedom House, published an article by former Time magazine journalist Roland Flamini titled “European Disunion: Cameron, the EU and the Scots” which concluded with the lament: “If separatism triumphs in the referendum, David Cameron will be remembered as the prime minister who lost Scotland. He also faces the further prospect of being the man who led Britain out of the European Union.” [
http://www.worldaffairsjournal.org/article/european-disunion-cameron-eu-and-scots]
Note the prominent use of the word ‘separatism’ which has become a dirty word in Atlanticist circles since the Novorossiya uprising began in March. The same September/October issue of World Affairs Journal featured Peter Pomeranstev saying, “The channel [RT] has its fans in the West and has been nominated for an Emmy for its reporting on the Occupy movement in America. And it’s not just the left that’s applauding. Nigel Farage of the right-wing non-parliamentary [not for long - American Kulak] UK Independence Party is regularly featured in its newscasts.” Farage of course has been a vocal critic of the EU’s relentless eastward expansion, which he has blamed for sparking the Ukraine crisis and antagonizing Russia. Farage also believes the EU’s policies towards Romania and Bulgaria have led to an influx of impoverished job seekers from these countries at a time when the UK is already facing high unemployment and is one of the most crowded countries in Europe.
[

The connection between Farage, who has half-heartedly campaigned for the ‘No’ side in Scotland this past week, and the Scottish secession vote isn’t clear. Except when one considers that Scotland’s secession will weaken the British Labour Party’s position in parliament, thereby allowing more Tories to split with their EUrocrat leadership and defect to UKIP. But the broader concern for the Empire’s ideologists is that Russia sympathizes with almost any group of European nationalists who wish to deviate from the NATO or EU party line, and European nationalists from Hungary to Greece are returning the favor by empathizing with Russia’s position on Crimea and the Donbas. It is noteworthy, for example, by its absence that Anglo-American media are not interested in reporting the foreign fighters fighting for Novorossiya, including a half dozen French veterans of combat in Afghanistan and Chad [

nor in interviewing the Swedish Nazi Mikael Skillt fighting for the openly Nazi Wolsfangel-armband-wearing Azov Battalion. The BBC did do one report that curiously even mentioned Novorossiya Armed Forces’ (NAF) allegations that Polish military contractors are fighting for Ukraine, a charge the Polish government denies, but this story was the exception that proved the rule. The internationalization of the Novorossiya war, the possibility that it could become a second Spanish Civil War if it drags on for months or years, is not something either Washington or London wishes their propaganda outlets to emphasize. Why? Perhaps Mr. Pomerantsev’s essay provides a clue.

After getting in his digs at Mr. Farage from his perch in London, Mr. Pomerantsev like many Russian liberals (who some Russians like Mark Sleboda refer to as liberasts for a perennial pedestal-lization of the West dating back to the late 19th century St. Petersburg liberals lampooned by Dostoevsky [
https://twitter.com/MarkSleboda1/status/508675733489995776]) gets to the heart of his complaint about Russia’s support for nationalist parties dissenting from Anglo-American Empire politics in the West. That complaint is that the Kremlin is trying to cast doubt on whether it is Washington or Moscow that maintains ‘Captive Nations’:

“It is no accident that a recurring feature of RT programs is conspiracy theories, ranging from tales of the Bilderberg Group to lurid reporting on how Western media cover up their governments’ crimes. Appealing to the conspiracy mind-set (read: anti-Washington, anti-Anglo-American empire, and anti-central banking) reinforces the Kremlin’s underlying message that the Western model of democratic capitalism is a failure and a sham [hence the urgency with which people like Pomerantsev invoke Western economic ‘recovery’ from the crash of 2008 and the myth that the US and EU could crush the Russian economy with sanctions if they but had the will to do so]. In a recent paper titled “The Conspiratorial Mindset in an Age of Transition [transition to what, Eurocrats?], which looked at the rise of conspiracy theories in France, Hungary, and Slovakia, a team of researchers from leading European think tanks showed how supporters of the far-right parties the Kremlin supports in Europe are also the ones most prone to believing in conspiracies [read: any facts or events outside or parallel to the Anglo-American led media Narrative, like the evidence that Ukrainian forces shot down MH17], and that this factor was becoming more pronounced as trust in the power of national governments is eroded by globalization [read: people don’t trust governments that have completely handed over the people’s sovereignty to banker-led globalists by design] and populations turn to outlandish theories to explain crises [meaning Westerners no longer believe the mainstream media explanations or cheery economic numbers, but believe ‘their lying eyes’ that things are deteriorating culturally and economically across the Western world].”

Another article in the same issue, hidden behind a pay wall, written by Woodrow Wilson International Center scholar Alina Polyakova, laments “Strange Bedfellows: Putin and Europe’s Far Right”. [
http://www.worldaffairsjournal.org/article/strange-bedfellows-putin-and-europe%E2%80%99s-far-right ] In the portion of the article that isn’t pay-walled, Polyakova confidently calls Marine Le Pen and the Front Nacional in France “a far right party”, despite Le Pen now drawing more support from likely voters than current French President Francois Hollande if run-off elections were held this week. [http://www.ft.com/intl/cms/s/0/6ecbb6c4-34d5-11e4-aa47-00144feabdc0.html]. Ms. Le Pen for her part has deflected the ‘radical right wing/fascist’ charges by appealing to socialist voters with calls for the preservation of France’s social welfare state, and insisting France can no longer remain a poodle of US foreign policy when it comes to Russia {her real crime in the eyes of the same Atlanticists who constantly downplay the anti-EU fascist elements in Ukraine so long as their members are fighting Russia’s proxies in Donbas]. She has also tied her anti-immigration and ‘France out of the EU’ positions to the defense of French secular values in the face of Islamism and EU political correctness, appealing to both the left and the right.

In the most telling sign that Ms. Le Pen believes she can win the presidency of France, she has even sent FN representatives to Israel to distance herself and the party from her father’s anti-Israel views, openly courting the votes of French Jews. It is of course, no accident that Ms. Le Pen is gaining support across the French political spectrum, if only as a protest candidate, while the US government is fining France’s BNP Paribas to the tune of $10 billion and trying to block the sale of the Mistral warships to Russia. Gaullism whether left or right wing is stirred up when French banks are used as Washington’s doormat and the creaky financial stability of France is put at risk by Washington and Brussels’ fanatical attachment to keeping the impoverished Greek, Spanish and Portuguese economies trapped in the euro straight jacket.

Perhaps in the back of their minds, the Empire’s ‘political technologists’ still hold that old bugbear of anti-Communism in Southeast Asia during the Cold War, the domino theory. If Scotland successfully votes to secede from the UK, and Britain’s pound sterling and banks take a beating in the subsequent fallout. With Royal Bank of Scotland, Deutsche Bank and other rotten derivatives-stuffed houses on the brink, the dominoes of rotten financial and political structures start to tumble across Europe. After Scotland, comes Catalonia. After Catalonia departs as the richest and most innovative part of Spain, the Spanish cry ‘no mas’ to continued Depression era levels of unemployment. The Lombards and Venetians move to more than symbolic independence. The Greeks, spurred by the Spanish example, finally throw out their austerity imposing eurocrat Quisling overlords, if necessary exiling Greek ‘technocrats’ with charges of massive financial fraud and embezzlement. Portugal’s too big to fail banks led by Espiritu Santu are finally allowed to fail, with rumors about the solvency of French and German banks including the aforementioned BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank running wild.

The secession of Scotland is going to bring home awkward questions of identity to Britons: what does England now stand for, besides total subservience to Washington in return for ‘a seat at the table’ and a bloated financial sector in the City of London? What does it mean to be English in an age of open borders and mass immigration? How can English identity be preserved even if the faces or colors of those holding to the ideals that made the British Empire successful change, when so many young Muslim men are rejecting the UK’s diseased postmodern values in favor of fighting for ISIS in Syria?

On this side of the Atlantic, the question will continue to be where does the USA go from here as the cries for regionalism, Southern and Western state government defiance of Washington’s executive orders, and increasingly assertive ethnic identities roil the USA in places like predominantly black Ferguson, Missouri or an increasingly Mexican Los Angeles ruled over by a shrinking white elite? On the topic of immigration, for example, Texas is placing its National Guard troops on the border with some Texan lawmakers denouncing President Obama’s ‘executive actions’ on the non-deportation of undocumented Mexican migrants as unconstitutional, and thereby null and void. Meanwhile, California’s governor is basically nullifying the southern border through the announcement of ‘sanctuary cities’. The point is not which state is right or wrong.

The point is both states are making policy assertions that contrast with either federal law either as it is written or as an administration chooses to (not) enforce it. This can only lead to further proclamations of the United States being more united than ever while real disunity festers along class, racial and regional lines.
